Sai Praneeth , new star of Indian Badminton wins Thailand Open Badminton Championship!!



Sai Praneeth is on winning spree!! After winning Singapore Open, Sai Praneeth has won Finals of Thailand Championship with prize of $120,000. On Sunday, champ won against Christie Jonatan of Indonesia in Bangkok with 17-21, 21-18, 21-19 points. Having lost 1st set to Jonatan, Sai Praneeth came back strongly to win next 2 sets, showing the game he is in. 

BAI president Hemant Biswa announced price of 3L to the winner, congratulating him on victory and making India Proud!!

Indian Prime Minister Modi congratulated Sai Praneeth for this achievement!!

Saina Nehwal ousted in Semi finals of Thailand Open championship

Saina Nehwal, face of Indian badminton sport lost out in semi-finals of Thailand Open. Saina started out confidently as she hold 3-0 match winning stats against Busanan till this match. Saina was ahead with 17-13 lead but due to made unforced errors and lost out 1st set with 21-19 points. Saina again tried to comeback with 13-9 lead but lost out to Busanan with 18-21 points.

Indian Olympic Sports Updates | Week June 24, 2017 Badminton Updates - Kidambi Srikanth won Indonesia Badminton Championship on June 18, 2017. He out-classed 47th ranked Kazumasa Sakai by 21-11, 21-19 in 37 mins to lift the Super Series title, making it his 3rd one. Srikanth was trailing behind by 6-11 points but then bounced back to make it equal by 13-13 and thats what put the pressure on Sakai, ultimately loosing match to Srikanth.
