He out-classed 47th ranked Kazumasa Sakai by 21-11, 21-19 in 37 mins to lift the Super Series title, making it his 3rd one. Srikanth was trailing behind by 6-11 points but then bounced back to make it equal by 13-13 and thats what put the pressure on Sakai, ultimately loosing match to Srikanth.
