Altibox Norway Chess Championship
Five time world champion Viswanathan Anand is having disappointing run in Altibox Norway Chess championship so far. Anand has 2 defeats and 1 draw to his share so far, he lost in 4th round to Anish Girl of Netherland. Before this he had a draw with Karjanik and a loss to Russian Vladimir Kramnik.

Lovlina Borgohain wins Bronze medal in President's Cup

Lovlina Borgohain won Bronze medal in President cup in Kazakhstan and was the only boxer to have registered win in tournament. Siwi Bora and Devanshu Jaiswal lost their matches in women's and men's quarterfinals against Kazakh boxers. There are total 150 boxers playing to achieve top honors.

Shooting ISSF World Cup, Gabela, Azerbaijan
Meghana Sajjanar performed well in ISSF world cup in Gabela but missed medal coming at 4th spot. She was part of 10m final air rifle competition. On 20th shot Meghana lost the edge and was forced to play tie shoot with asian champion of last year 2016 and lost the medal chance. This was Meghana;s maiden entry into finals. Meghana cherished experience she gained in final. Based on her performance in Gabela and Munich, she is looked at medal contender as the ISSF world cup in New Delhi.
